Shard End, Birmingham

The saints at Hope Chapel, Birmingham, held a Gospel effort towards the beginning of the year in an area hitherto untouched by the Gospel. Shard End, in the north-east corner of Birmingham, just north of where the airport is, is an area that has historically been Irish Catholic. Brother Scott, in fellowship at Hope, had an exercise for the area, so we provided Seed Sower texts, and close to 10,000 homes were reached covering all of Shard End and some parts of neighbouring areas too.

The saints report that there was good help given from Upper Hill Street assembly, Coventry. Many of the texts and invites were very happily received. Pray for John & Marilyn, in their 80’s with health issues. Gospel was shared with them. Another Catholic, Tom, thanked us for what we were doing. Quite a number of Bibles were given out and the saints then held two weeks of Gospel meetings in a community centre in the area. There was great encouragement with some unsaved in from the area almost every night.

Seven local brothers shared the meetings over 10 nights. Pray for the salvation of: Lucy, Angel & Queenie, Daniel and Joe. Others came, professing believers, who were encouraged by the meetings.
