Carmarthen, Wales

A very enjoyable weekend was spent with the saints at Ebenezer, Carmarthen, labouring in the Gospel. Though it was wet, the fellowship was very warm, and we enjoyed some good Welsh hymn singing.

For this Seed Sower distribution, a special new dual language Seed Sower text was designed, and we’re thankful to the local believer’s for their help with this.

With the local assembly hall under reconstruction, we met in a local community hall for the day Saturday, then joined the assembly in the hired basement of the baptist church on the Lord’s Day. It was encouraging to see the whole town covered with the texts, and we appreciate all who came to help, from Aberdeen to Exeter. Shout out to our stalwart supporter Maureen for making the trip down.

Tent meetings were held in the main park in the town over the following few weeks, first a week of Gospel meetings taken by a number of brothers and then a week of children’s meetings taken by brother Stuart Scammell. The assembly were encouraged by the fellowship in the Gospel from all who came, and this is one of the more unsung aspects of Seed Sower work. They were also encouraged by some contacts coming into the meetings, a couple who continue to show interest. Pray for them.
