Ballynahinch, Co.Down, NI

We take the opportunity to set on record our thanks to our brother and fellow trustee Stephen Harper for all the hard work he has put in behind the scenes and in the organisation of the events in Northern Ireland over the past decade or so. At the end of this year, Stephen is stepping down to focus on his work in Malawi, so this was his final distribution.

We enjoyed the fellowship of the small assembly in Ballynahinch. The town’s community centre was hired and we gathered Saturday morning, 5th Sept, joined by believers from other local assemblies. It was a joy to have quite a number of youth get involved in posting the texts too. Ballynahinch is a small town, so we were able to also cover the towns of Downpatrick and Saintfield, along with the mill village of Drumaness.

Following the distribution, brother Robert Armstrong set up the OBEX exhibition in the community centre for the week. The local saints had arranged for school groups to come in during the day, and the public were invited in during the evenings.

A good number of Bibles were requested and delivered. It was an encouragement to see one man from Downpatrick ask for a Bible, and upon receiving it, accept the invitation and come to the Gospel Meeting on Lord’s Day. Do pray for this man. He has had a difficult life but is seeking the Lord.
