After the effort in North Warwickshire, the Gospel exercise led by Arran, Matthew & Peter moved to Birmingham supported by the Hope and Quarry Lane assemblies. A distribution day was held on the 13th June covering the ward of Northfield, and we had a good amount of local help in the morning. The photo below wasn’t taken until later in the day. Over the next two weeks and number of believers continued to go out daily to also cover the ward of Rubery. In total, 18,000 John 3:16 texts were distributed, and as a result a good number of Bibles were requested.
With the Seed Sower texts, invites were given to Gospel meetings, two weeks at Allens Cross community hall, then two weeks at Deelands community hall. These were most encouraging meetings with a good number of visitors from the area. There were quite a number of believer’s who came along and enjoyed the simple preaching of God’s Word.
Several of these continued for a while after going along either to Quarry Lane or to Hope, though none have continued long-term. Saying that, one lady, P, was back at QL last Lord’s Day. We’re thankful to our sister Wendy for encouraging her. P seems to be truly seeking, so your prayers are valued. Pray also for T and his three teenage kids. They were very regular at the meetings at Allens Cross, and a lovely family. There was definite interest, especially from the kids, and contact continues though we’d love to see them coming to the Gospel meetings at QL regularly. Finally, pray for A and L, who both came to Hope following the series, and profess faith. A had interest in baptism, and his testimony was a delight to hear, but his family and work situation have meant he’s not been able to get out since early August. We leave him with the Lord, and pray for spiritual growth despite the circumstances.

The map above shows the coverage of Seed Sower texts in South-West Birmingham, North Warwickshire and then across the villages east of Rugby. This latter effort, led by the assembly in Rugby took place from August through October. Firstly, Brownsover was covered on the north edge of Rugby, and at the meetings that followed, a daughter of one the saints was saved, for which we praise the Lord.
The villages to the east were hard to reach. Between materialism (these being commuter villages) and religion (many Christadelphians in the area) there was negligible interest in the Gospel. Nevertheless, the Gospel seed has been sown, and we look to the Lord to work through His Spirit, to bring eternal fruit from the exercise of His people.
